Marshall – Tufflex, the UK cable management manufacturer, announced the launch of its new factory earlier this week, through which it hopes to boost local production and job figures.
The move is a "key strategic investment" for the company, according to Jim Fletcher, managing director of Marshall – Tufflex.
He added that the 24 hour production cycle for the new plant would see it offer improved technical support and customer service, as well as access to a large stock holding.

“The Middle East has always been a successful and important market for us. Our new factory will enable us to better support our customers in the region. It is a very positive time and we look forward to bringing our customers up-to-date with our developments,” he added.
The factory will serve only the GCC market, with its predominant targets likely to be UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. However, once it settles in the market, its range is expected to expand to Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.
Developed as a joint venture in conjunction with Trizac Abu Dhabi, a company primarily associated with distributing pumping systems to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf and North America.
Bashar Anabtawi, general manager of the new venture, said that Trizac had been looking for a partner to work with it in what is termed as ‘Plastic City’, an area within the ICAD, which is set aside by the Abu Dhabi government to develop manufacturing facilities for downstream oil-based products.
Marshall – Tufflex has supplied cable management systems for commercial, healthcare, education and industrial environments in the Gulf region for more than 30 years. In addition to conduit and Mini/Maxi trunking, its range includes PVC-U, steel and aluminum trunking, GRP and underfloor to desk systems.
The UK manufacturer will be present at the Middle East Electricity exhibition, from February 7 to 9, 2012 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. The stand will be situated in Hall 6, British Pavilion.
